Dr. Woods once again delivers another excellent and vital contribution to all Americans. Meltdown proves that politicians who studiously ignore The Austrian School do so at our peril.

I was annoyed and (foolishly, I supposed) surprised that Books-a-Million had never heard of this book when I asked on Saturday (they even showed me their computer search). Thankfully, they’re selling it now.

Excellent, easy to understand account of how criminality is encouraged to thrive in higher echelons of government and its agencies. I am a longstanding British follower of the Austrian School and read many of the classics published by Mises, Rothbard et al. I found “Meltdown” clearly explained why self interested groups avoid open discussion on this “taboo” subject. Sadly, the USA and many other nations “wise” leaders prefer Orwellian type methods to keep the populace in ignorance. (Religion operates similar policies). We can’t have Americans educated on the complex nature of government business. Just trust us to look after your welfare!!

Despite my British nationality, I was encouraged by Ron Paul’s strong showing in the early days of the US primaries, unfortunately, his campaign message got lost in the clamor to elect the first black or female president. I’ve come to the conclusion that too many US voters lack the intelligence and basic understanding of economics to make a rational voting decision. We experienced similar, when Tony B(LIAR) was elected British Prime Minister in 1997. A survey suggested he got the majority vote because he was better looking than his balding opponent! How sad it that? If this sort of stupidity forms the rationale of who gets elected or not to power, then its easy to understand why our leaders can so easily continue unobstructed with their highly rewarding counterfeit enterprises.

Your book should be targeted at high schools and colleges around the world. The present generation are either too brainwashed, completely subservient, totally apathetic or just plain stupid to be converted. Their minds are firmly shut! They insist on change (to cite Obama’s campaign message) but are clueless on what they want changed and even when change is made, you can guarantee it’ll be a change for the worse using tired old style Keynesian practices. Time for tomorrow’s aspiring politicians to step up to the plate and put an end to this man-made boom bust cycle for ever. Thank you Tom, dedicated people like you give the true free-market supporter renewed hope.

Books-a-Million makes bizarre decisions. They were barely stocking Ron Paul’s book even when it was #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Do they not want to make money?

Loved hearing you on Bubba yesterday. You made SO much sense. Ordering several copies of your book to pass around.

    Thanks for speaking the truth!

I just finished reading Thomas Woods’ book. What a great book! I had tried to get this book at the local library but it was always checked out so I had to buy my own copy. I’m glad I did.

This book should be required reading for anyone who is registered to vote. If you read and understand this book and still vote for the same crooks than you deserve what you get.

If you have a copy of this book and are finished reading it then you have to loan it to your friends and family. The information in this book is just too important to keep to your self.
